What the app does

Text Scroller Devices lets nearby phones find and connect to one another using Bluetooth, then display a synchronized scrolling text. The app does not require you to create an account.

Information you enter and share

You can enter a room name and the text shown in the carousel. The app sends this information directly to phones connected to the same room so they can display it in sync.

The app does not send this content to a server operated by Sohlumohlu OÜ or store it in a cloud account. Participants in the room can see the shared text. Please avoid including confidential or personal information you do not want to share with them.

Bluetooth and device permissions

The app uses Bluetooth to find nearby devices, advertise a room and connect participating phones. Depending on your Android version, Android may require location permission or location services to be enabled for Bluetooth discovery.

The app does not obtain your GPS location or use it to track your movements. The location permission, where required, is used to enable the Bluetooth discovery feature required by Android.

Advertising and Google services

The app uses Google Mobile Ads to show an app-opening advertisement. Ad requests are configured as non-personalized. Nevertheless, Google’s SDK may process technical information such as your IP address, interactions with the app, diagnostics and device identifiers to deliver and measure ads and prevent fraud.

Google may process this information according to your consent choices and its own policies. Non-personalized ads are not based on your activity history to build advertising profiles. Google may still use certain information for purposes such as limiting how often an ad is shown and preparing aggregated reports.

Consent and privacy choices

Where required, the app displays a Google consent form to manage choices about advertising. You can review or change your privacy choices through the app’s privacy options, where available.

Data retention

The app does not operate its own account or server for storing room names or carousel text. This content is used for the session between connected phones. Information processed by Google for advertising is retained according to Google’s policies.

Who receives information

Room content is shared with phones connected to that room. Information needed to provide and measure ads may be processed by Google and its advertising services, subject to your consent choices and Google’s policies.

Information may also be disclosed when required by law.

Children’s privacy

The app does not knowingly request personal information from children. Text shared in a room is visible to connected participants, so please do not include children’s personal information in it.

This policy may be updated if the app, its services or applicable requirements change. The current version will be published on this page with its latest update date.
